Unlock your iPhone… it sure took me a while

This tutorial is not well written, but these were the general steps I took to unlock my friend’s iPhone. I had to restart quite a few times, so if you find that you mess up, simply restore to factory state and virginize the phone.

Good luck and feel free to correct anything I might have missed.

Fresh phone
Update to latest firmware – 1.0.2
Activate phone using iPhone Tool

Install AppTap
- Install Community Sources
- Install BDS
- Install SSH
- Download beta sources from http://iphone.blurgle.ca/repo – article at conceitedsoftware.com
- Install anySim

Run anySim

- If you get the following error:
flash operation succeded but the unlock commands failed….
– This is ok and more then likely after a reboot, your phone will be unlocked
other errors, start over….

Download iphoneunlock from http://iphone.unlock.no/
SSH into iPhone and copy lockdownd to /usr/libexec/ and reboot

Phone should be unlocked and working on Tmobile
