- So my inaugural wine judging experience starts now. First item – what types would I enjoy judging? Selected general reds for max opportunity #
- 1st flight done. 7 reds, italian varietals. Scoring on a 100 point scale, with gold between 90 – 100, silver 85 – 89, bronze 80 – 84. #
- 2nd flight complete. 8 wines, cab francs/grenache/blends. Most of the wines are decent, haven't had many mind-blowing ones yet. #
- Santa Cruz Mountain Wine tasting event (@ Ma Maison) http://4sq.com/cWjGB3 #
- 3rd flight done. 6 wines this time, cariagne/malbec/blends. The malbec's are prob my favorite so far. #
- Last flight upcoming. This will be the 'Best in Show' round, the 10 best wines from each tasting group. #
- 'Best of Show' flight had nothing I found too exciting. Wonder where some of these people get their tastes from. #
